Discovery Days is a healthy, outdoor educational opportunity for children ages 7-12 to get outside and explore the Juneau area! Similar to our Outdoor Explorers summer day camp, these events are offered throughout the school year when students are out of school during Teacher Inservice Days, Parent Teacher Confernece Days, holidays, and seasonal school breaks.

In addition to Discovery Days, we will be offering an Early Dismissal Monday Program at each elementary school.  Learn More about Early Dismissal Mondays.

2010-2011 Discovery Day Dates

October 18 - SAGA Eagle Valley Center*

November 15 and 16 - Location to be Announced*

February 21 and 22 - Locations to be Announced

March 25 - Backcountry Skills and Snowshoeing at Eaglecrest

April 25 - Location to be Announced*

*Transportation provided with drop off  and pick up at Harborview and Mendenhall River elementary schools. No transportation in winter months.

Drop off: 8:30 and 9:00am

Pick up: 3:30 and 4:00pm

Program Cost

Members - $35 per day or a 5 day Discovery Day punch card for $165

Non-members - $40 per day or a 5 day punch card for $195
